About Me
Hello, I’m Dr. Graham! I’m known to family, friends, and colleagues as either Dr. G or just my first name, Martha. As the daughter and granddaughter of well-established academicians, I was raised in an academic environment where the importance of education and respect for the learning process were greatly valued. I firmly believe that all students deserve an equal opportunity to learn and that learning should also be enjoyable. This is the approach I’ve taken with my teaching, and have found it to be both highly effective and efficient. Furthermore, I strive to uphold three principles that I
believe are critical to successful teaching and fostering a productive student-teacher connection: integrity, personal accountability, and approachability. These principles have aided me in the facilitation of building a strong foundation for addressing individual student needs, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, reinforcing core concepts, and applying subject matter to real-life situations.
I’m a 33-year-old Alabama native that enjoys listening to music, watching my favorite television shows, and reading epic fantasy novels. I relocated to the Greater Atlanta Area in 2012 to attend graduate school at Mercer University and the University of Georgia, and chose to remain in the area after completing my studies to continue with my career in scientific research. My background and expertise are highly concentrated in the biological sciences, particularly in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, and neuropharmacology. Additionally, I also possess high levels of proficiency and competency in anatomy and physiology, chemistry, english composition, literature, and history.
