Emory University – B.A., Latin
I began tutoring professionally after entering college, spending one year as a language tutor for Emory University, then pursuing private tutoring. I have worked with students of all ages, from preschool to middle-aged, and in a variety of subjects. I have aided students in preparing for various standardized tests (from the ISEE to the ACT), school subjects, and languages. My students achieve high grades in their school subjects and do very well on standardized tests.
I possess a wealth of knowledge in various areas, but one of the things that I find fun about learning is seeing how subjects connect to the real world. My students find learning and their subject matters a lot more interesting when I start pointing out these connections to them. By nature, I am a very personable and patient and I can work with any kind of student. As such, students really enjoy tutoring sessions with me.

Hello learners of Atlanta! I’m here to help with your math, science, and standardized test preparation. I have three years of experience with one-on-one tutoring and many more years of experience as a teaching assistant in chemistry, organic chem, and biochem. I have a Master’s of Science in Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and two Bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and biology. My subject expertise includes calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, python programming, and more. I excel at patiently translating complex ideas into plain language, leveraging clear visualizations & analogies, and asking the perfect question to crystallize understanding. In addition to my work in education, I am pursuing a career in Atlanta as a freelance data consultant and public health scientist. In my spare time, I listen to nerdy podcasts, play board games, and keep up with cutting-edge science and biotech news. If you think I’d be a good fit with your educational needs, let’s get in touch!

Emory University – B.S. in Applied Mathematics, Environmental Sciences (2021)
Hello! My name is Megan, and I’m currently a senior at Emory University studying Applied Mathematics and Environmental Sciences. I have been tutoring for 7 years; I started as a freshman in high school tutoring my peers in math. Since then, I have worked with elementary through high school students in math and science, including algebra, geometry, biology, and physics. My favorite class is calculus! I love working with students through challenging problems to re-envision the concepts. I use a scaffolding process and emphasize understanding of the principles because topics only build on each other. I get to know students’ interests and strengths, and adapt to their personal learning style. I’m passionate about ensuring students feel more confident in their classes and hope to watch them thrive academically.
