About Me

Maddy L. is a graduate of the University of Georgia with her B.S. in Genetics and a minor in French. She developed her passion for teaching starting off as a Peer Learning Assistant while pursuing her degree, here she worked with small groups of college students to help them with courses such as Chemistry and Biochemistry. She then worked as a Genetic Education Instructor, where she traveled to different middle and high schools throughout South Carolina to work with students on their understanding of the life sciences and laboratory techniques through hands-on experiments. As an educator and tutor, she focuses on building off student’s previous foundations, challenging students, setting tangible goals, and instilling habits for success in students. While she specializes in STEM and French, she is comfortable tutoring in social sciences, history, and english as well.
