Description

This scholarship aids future college students who are planning to major in engineering, mathematics, or one of the physical sciences.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legal US citizens and residents of Georgia for the last three years. They must be HS seniors who have been accepted at an accredited four-year postsecondary institution. They must be full-time students with a proven interest in community service. Applicants must have an SAT composite (math and critical reading) score of 1300 or higher and must either be in the top 10 percent of their class or have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Selection Criteria

• Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
• Preference is given for students who attend a college or university in Georgia and/or who can, in the essay, claim and verify a connection with Tech High School.

Award Amount

$5,000; scholarship may be renewable
