University of Mount Union – B.A. in History and Adolescent to Young Adult Education (2017)
Hey, my name is Hunter and I’m thankful you’ve taken the time to research my profile. I graduated from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH with a BA in History and a minor in Adolescent to Young Adult Education. During my time there, I volunteered a significant amount of my time with Cru, which led to a lot of opportunities for me to meet with and mentor students in a one on one setting, helping them navigate the social, academic, and spiritual challenges college can present. I love journeying with people through life, offering a listening ear, encouragement and practical wisdom. Pairing this with my course work and teacher assistant roles I had in middle school and high school classrooms, I believe I’m uniquely equipped to help students reach their academics goals and develop into the best versions of themselves. During college, I was a football player and a member of the concert choir, so I feel especially empathetic towards students who juggle their academic responsibilities with being a student-athlete or having a passion for the creative arts. My hope is through establishing a personal connection, the student would entrust me to ask good questions and utilize practical study tools in order to accomplish the student’s academic goals together.
